2014 Cemetery Projects - Grave Site Information, Grounds and Stone Cleaning, Donations and Fund Raisers

The vision was set in 2014 for the Princeton Cemetery.  City staff members laid out their goals for a multi-year Cemetery Restoration and Preservation project.  With virtually minimal records on hand other than the information on the sale of lots, staff undertook the several projects this first year.

* A print-out of ALL gravestones were generated through the "Findagrave.com" website.  Residents and family members have provided additional information on the deceased which has been added to the individual files.  Additional information is always sought for this permanent record.

* A on-site clean-up day was held in September.  With 25+ volunteers meeting at the cemetery, stones were cleaned and brush was removed around the gravesites.

* Information on our Veterans was gathered.

* The Information Message Board was installed on the storage shed.
