2015 Cemetery Projects - Information Kiosk, Map Preservation, Stone Repair, Potters Field Dedication, Donations and Fund Raisers
The 2015 project included adding an information board to the storage building. A cemetery layout map, a sponsorship and donation listing along with upcoming activities are posted on site for those visiting the cemetery.
Also undertaken was the Preservation of the maps a fashion that will allow viewing for the next 100+ years. The original layout was a Cloverleaf with the roadways being the boundary of the leaf.
Gravestone rehabilitation was also undertaken by a professional hired who repaired broken stones and adjusted those which were leaning significantly. Year two also brought an additional cleaning day undertaken by staff and volunteers.
A permanent marker remembering those buried in Potters Field was placed and dedicated in November 2015.
An Boy Scout Eagle Project was undertaken which included placement of a flagpole, erection of the Princeton Cemetery sign on our storage building, and several grounds cleaning days.
DONATIONS
Donations were given throughout the year by citizens or family members of those deceased. A total of $1226.02 was donated.

FUND RAISING
There were seven fundraisers for Cemetery Restoration brought in $3223.50. Many thanks to all who donated items, purchased goods, or participated in the fund raising events.
February 2 & 3 Bake Sale was held at City Hall - $355. May 8 Brat Fry raised $92. May 22 & 23, another Bake Sale raised $391. In the fall a Flower Bulb sale brought in $52.50. October 10 Food Booth at the Flea Market raised $865. October 31 received a donation from BeerBellys through their Meat Raffle totaling $808. December Silent Auction raised $660.00.
GRANTS RECEIVED
In addition to fundraising, several grant opportunities were sought which resulted in an additional $2605.00. Funds were received from:
Princeton Area Community Fund match for the February Bake sale - $355; Green Lake County/Ripon Community Foundation grant - $750; and the Oberreich Foundation - $1500.
TOTAL DONATIONS, FUND-RAISING, GRANTS RECEIVED IN 2015 - $7054.52.
