Comprehensive Plan

Components of a comprehensive plan encompass many of the functions that make a community work, such as wastewater treatment, transportation, housing and agriculture as well as other land uses.  The plan also considers the interrelationships of those functions.  Based on these interrelationships, the city will be better able to understand what, for example it means for the city to expand its residential base in terms of the city's supply of water and sanitary capabilities, the available labor force dependant on economic development and the protential impact to the road system if traffic is increased due to new development.
